Poetry Friday - Some Photos I Took at the Library

I've been opening our school library once a week for the summer, since we don't have public libraries where we live, and I don't like thinking of the kids being bookless.  Here are some pictures I took on Tuesday, some of the library in general and some of a poetry book I found and enjoyed.

In the middle of all the mess in the news this week, it felt good to read some beautiful words.

Michelle has today's roundup.

Appreciations for your generous summer sharing at the school library.
Love the flowers through the windows.
And all about this post.
Cool breezes to you.

Thanks for sharing these pics of the school library. So nice that students will have access to it during the summer. Love the poetry pages. :)

It's so nice of you to keep that library open, Ruth, though I know it's probably never hard to browse on a summer day. And I love "Out of Wonder", a most special book.

I enjoyed the glimpse into your library! Your students are lucky to have you to open its doors for them through the summer. And I still need to read Out of WOnder.

Thanks for this lovely visual and literary treat–and beautiful pictures. So nice to see a school library with actual books–and how thoughtful of you to open up the library for the students! Here's to more "Poets Blossoming!" Is that Bougainvillea in the background, it's wonderful!

What a wonderful idea. So generous, too! May you be blessed each day you do it - as I'm sure those who visit will be.

Michelle, it's poinciana/flamboyant. I'll post a poem about that next week!
