    Wow... I'm not sure my husband will allow me to be friends with someone so liberal! Maybe I won't tell him about you...thus acting on a feminist reflex to preserve my autonomy...thus making me a liberal too! :-)

    Something similar happened to me, Ruth - I ended up more liberal than I expected. Must be the influence of the city I live in, or all those NPR news programs I listen to. Or wait! Maybe it's because I read your blog! :^)
