Ada Limón has a new book of poetry coming out! I haven't read it, but I sure wanted to when I heard this podcast this week. That link will take you to the transcript of Tuesday's BirdNote, and you can also listen there. It includes a poem from the new book, The Hurting Kind. (Go ahead and listen - it's only 2 minutes long!)
Ada hosts a podcast too; she took over The Slowdown recently.
I miss you, Poetry Friday friends! I haven't been as faithful posting and reading in this season. I hope this week I'll at least get a chance to come read your posts!

Ah, yes, I am a SLOWDOWN fan, too! Thank you for sharing the links!
I love Ada Limon!
I don't usually click into the Poetry Foundation newsletters, but today I did and found this article about her newest book: https://www.poetryfoundation.org/articles/157899/pretty-birds-past-the-strip-mall
Thanks, Mary Lee! It sounds so good! Thinking about buying it...
Ah, that poem took a turn... Thanks for sharing, Ruth. I love that PF always pulls out a chair and hands us a cup of tea when we all occasionally have to dip in and out sometimes! xo
I am not familiar with Ada Lemon. I'm going to listen to the podcast and check out her new book. Thank you for sharing this!
Okay, you and Mary Lee vibing on the same poet and the same ideas. Want to try reading THIS one together, no April Poetry Month pressure?
