Birdtober Day 12: Gyrfalcon

This is an amazing bird, the largest falcon in the world. It's pronounced JER-falcon.

Gyrfalcon lives in northern cold:

A hunting bird since times of old,

Providing meat for baby gyrs

Or catching prey for falconers.

Snowy, silver, black or brown,

An awesome sight when swooping down.
