Ruth, the chickadee is a darling bird. You are well-versed as a birding person. Thanks for the information.

Sweet poem for a sweet bird! I wrote a poem about a chickadee. It flew in the house, all the way up the stairs to my son's room. Twice in one week!

I love the sound of birds in winter! And that this chickadee spreads out his winter seed stash all over the forest! We have chickadees that feed out of our hands up here in the snow. Thank you, Ruth.

Oh! I forgot all about Birdtober! I just remembered Poemtober, but couldn't find it on line, so saved Inktober's prompts to work with. Folks must feel creative in October! lol Love your sweet chickadee poem!

Our black-capped and Carolina chickadees are decidedly NOT shy! So fun that they have cousins that live in a mountain forest!
